First Impressions

Build: Tall and slender; carries herself with the grace and decorum one might expect from The Most Noble and Ancient House of Black
Appearance: fine robes, understated jewellery, hooded blue eyes, features resembling her sisters' and cousins', fair skin and hair (though not quite as fair as Lucius or Draco)
Scent: Miss Dior (original) in her Prefect's robes, Chanel No.19 or Diorissimo for her everyday adult self, Guerlain's Shalimar (cool weather) or YSL Paris (warm weather) for going to bed or dinner with Lucius, Guerlain's L'Heure Bleue while wandering Knockturn Alley alone and depressed circa HBP, and Penhaligon's Gardenia or Guerlain's Jardins de Bagatelle for cuddling and playing with Draco around Malfoy Manor.

Warnings: Narcissa generally supports her family's racist Pureblood supremacist beliefs and is ride or die for Lucius and Draco, no matter what heinous atrocities they commit. She's also prejudiced against werewolves and other beings. I'm happy to tone down or avoid it if desired, assuming we can craft a plot where it makes sense. Additionally, my internal backstory for Narcissa involves CSA and pregnancy loss, but I'm also open to avoiding these topics.

Other Notes

- I like to age down all three sisters because my brain just hurts over 13yo!dad Cygnus. I usually put Narcissa's birth year between 1956 and 1959.
- I normally headcanon that Narcissa secretly keeps in touch with Andromeda once they're both married and Narcissa isn't afraid of her parents anymore. I'm not committed to it, but I think Narcissa's love for her closest family members wins out over her Pureblood supremacist beliefs every time.
- I like canon divergences (Slytherin Harry, Death Eaters win, Lucius dies, Chosen One Draco) but less so setting-change AUs (space, coffee shop, college, rock star, etc.)
- Infidelity plots are fun, but Narcissa's heart will always belong to Lucius as long as he's alive. (He doesn't have to remain alive, of course...)
- I work off the assumption that Lucius is a terrible human being and a controlling—but not violently abusive—husband/father. I like Lucius controlling the purse strings and ordering food for Narcissa, who enjoys letting him be in charge and rarely pushes back (but she always gets her way on those rare occasions, e.g., Durmstrang). Occasional slapping, coercion, and dubcon are all great, but ideally there would also be a good/happy/loving Lucius to balance stuff like that out.
